A training bar is a must have in any Olympic Lifting gym.
Using a 15lb training bar over a 15kg or 20kg Olympic lifting bar, enables lifters to focus on technique (form) and get down the basics of Olympic lifting, so when they advance to a 15kg or 20kg Olympic bar, they have a firm foundation and can handle the weight of a heavier bar.
Training bars enable Olympic lifters to start their lifts at the correct height with lower starting weights. The distance between collars remains the same as with competition bars, allowing athletes to maintain proper grip position through out their progression from training to competition bar.
